Sara Anichini graduated in March 2022 with a degree in Agro-Food Biotechnology (LM-7) from the University of Verona, achieving a final grade of 110/110. During the last semester of her master's degree, she completed a curricular internship at SICIT Group, a chemical company in Vicenza specializing in biostimulant production.
After graduation, she worked in a wine-chemical analysis laboratory at Vinlab S.r.l. and later obtained a PhD in Advanced and Sustainable Agricultural-Forestry Systems at the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental, and Forestry Sciences and Technologies (DAGRI).
CV: Advanced and Sustainable Agricultural-Forest Systems
PhD Program:
Advanced and Sustainable Agricultural-Forestry Systems – Sustainable Management of Agro-Food and Forestry Systems
Research Interests & PhD Project
Her PhD project aims to identify grapevine genotypes resistant to water and salinity stress, with the goal of using them as rootstocks to enhance the adaptability and sustainability of viticulture. Additionally, the project seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying different adaptive responses.
The platform's main objectives are:
Identifying one or more genotypes resistant to abiotic stresses (water and salinity stress)
Determining which molecular response strategies enable such resistance
