Niccolò Rimbotti graduates with a score of 110/110 in Agricultural Sciences (Class L-25) and in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (Class LM-69) with a score of 110/110, specializing in Valuable Vegetable Production, at the University of Florence. During the two-year period of the master's degree he held the role of information tutor for the degree course in Agricultural Sciences.
During the completion of his master's degree he completed an internship as a cellarman at the Savignola Paolina winery. Subsequently he initially obtained a grant and then a PhD in Advanced and Sustainable Agricultural-Forestry Systems at the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Forestry Sciences and Technologies (DAGRI).
The Ph.D. project aims to prototype a low-cost platform for the monitoring of some gases of agronomic interest.
The macroscopic objectives of the platform are as follows:
-Estimation of the biological dynamics within the soil through the indirect analysis of the degradation trend of the organic substance.
-Search for volatile molecules indicating the state of the phytosanitary treatment and any ongoing biological attacks.
-Evaluation of the characteristics of an organic packaging for the handling of wine bottles.
